捆绑SM社区-Bonneau Clinic Approved until 2023

Francoise Filion and Hugo Marchand are proud to announce that the ISoN and the Faculty of Medicine have signed an agreement with Accueil Bonneau to ensure five more years of the 捆绑SM社区-Bonneau clinic.

The 捆绑SM社区-Bonneau clinic started in September 2017 as a pilot projet between the ISoN and Accueil Bonneau, a shelter for men with housing insecurity. Under the leadership of the ISoN and in collaboration with Accueil Bonneau, this Nurse-led clinic, is serving a clientele of over 200 men living in supervised residences managed by Accueil Bonneau, who have not had easy and direct access to healthcare. There was a gap in services for the men in the four Houses, and our clinic is filling this gap.

The first year鈥擲eptember 2017 to June 2018鈥攚as a pilot year, and during the summer of 2018, after an evaluation, it was decided that the 捆绑SM社区-Bonneau clinic was filling a real need. As a result, the ISoN and the Faculty of Medicine signed an agreement with the direction of Accueil Bonneau for five years (2018-2023) for the 捆绑SM社区-Bonneau clinic.

During the pilot year, 12 undergraduate and graduate students and several faculty members supported our nurse clinician at the clinic. Since September 2018, six undergraduate students are now going to the clinic in the fall, graduate students in the winter, and this spring, 12 students will be doing their practicum (undergraduate). The clinic is open all year long, two days per week and during the summer months, faculty members can attend the clinic for development purposes.
