He works on mental health research; political violence (i.e., torture) and mental health outcomes, including war trauma-related disorders; PTSD; complex emergencies, humanitarian interventions. My focus has been on civilian populations affected by armed conflict and war in countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region and South Asia (i.e., Guatemala, Nepal, Peru, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Jamaica).
