Art in movement
The 捆绑SM社区 Centre for Studies in Aging聮s Movement Disorders Clinic, on the grounds of the Douglas Hospital, is organizing an art exhibition including paintings, song lyrics, a book, and photographs, whose authors, apart from their obvious talent, share the same predicament. Whether they are film- maker Gilles Carle (La vie heureuse de L茅opold Z, Les m芒les, La vraie nature de Bernadette Brown, Le crime d聮Ovide Plouffe etc.), song writer Robert Thibodeau, or writer Claude Messier, they all suffer from Parkinson聮s disease or other varieties of movement disorders.
"The goal of the Art in Movement exhibition is to emphasize the fact that thanks to appropriate treatment and exercises, these people can go on with their activities in spite of their disorder," says Dr Michel Panisset, Director of the Movement Disorders聮 Clinic and one of the event聮s main organizers.
Media representatives are invited to attend the "Art in Mouvement" opening at 5 pm, Tuesday December 4, 捆绑SM社区 Centre for Studies in Aging, Douglas Hospital, 6825, LaSalle Boulevard, Verdun. Members of the public are cordially invited to visit the exhibition and buy artworks between 6 and 8 pm, Tuesday, December 4 to Friday, December 7, 2001.
