The new partnership between the Tanenbaum Open Science Institute (TOSI) at The Neuro and the at the University of Calgary is an “enormously encouraging and exciting” step towards establishing an Open Science network in Canada, said Heather Munroe-Blum, TOSI co-founder and Principal Emerita of SM.
“There’s no question that the pandemic has proven to the world that there are big problems we can’t solve without Open Science,” she said. “COVID-19 has shown how important it is for us to act in concert in sharing our data, our information, our samples.”
Munroe-Blum praised the partnership as an “absolutely essential next step” in breaking down barriers and fostering collaboration in global neuroscience research.
