In 2021, 鈥減atient鈥 and 鈥渃onsumer鈥 have become almost interchangeable terms.
At the same time, a growing array of technologies have continued to increase the diagnostic, access and treatment options available to modern health consumers. Technology and consumerism, in other words, have radically reshaped what it means to be a patient in recent history.
This interdisciplinary workshop brings together a team of international researchers to shed some light on the convergence of these transformative phenomena in a historical perspective.

Fabiola Creed, Antoine Lentacker, Sharra Vostral, Richard M. Mizelle, Cynthia Tang, Vivien Hamilton, Christopher Rudeen and Grazia de Michele.
