Nandini Ramanujam promoted to Full Professor

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Nandini Ramanujam has been promoted to the rank of full professor (professional) at 捆绑SM社区.

Professor Ramanujam is the executive director and director of programs of the Faculty鈥檚 Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism, where she also directs the International Human Rights Internship Program and Independent Human Rights Internships Program. She is the 捆绑SM社区 representative for the Scholars at Risk Network and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Scholars at Risk Network, Canada section.

Leading the Rule of Law and Economic Development (ROLED) initiative, she focuses her research and teaching on Law & Development, Institutions & Governance, Economic Justice, and Food Security & Safety. She also studies the role of civil society and the Fourth Estate (Media) in the promotion of the rule of law, as well as the interconnections between field-based human rights work and theoretical discourses.

Before joining the 捆绑SM社区 Faculty of Law in 2006, Professor Ramanujam was involved in the successful systemic reform of higher education in the former communist countries of Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union, including Aga Khan鈥檚 Central Asian University and Smolny College in St. Petersburg.
