Get ready for the 10th (and final) HBHL Fellowships Competition

Registration for the 10th and final HBHL Graduate Student Fellowships Program is now open!

Since 2017, HBHL has awarded over $6.7M to fund 321 Fellowships across nine competitions. The HBHL Graduate Student Fellowships Program seeks to attract, train and retain top graduate students from diverse disciplines and around the world to participate in interdisciplinary research training opportunities in brain and mental health research, knowledge translation/mobilization and innovation.

Approximately 32 fellowships (PhD and Master's combined) will be awarded:

  • Master's fellowships: $10,000/year
  • PhD fellowships:$15,000/year

The Graduate Student Fellowships Program is a two-step application process that includes a registration step and an application step, each with two separate deadlines that must be observed:

Registration deadline: January 29, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. EST.
Application deadline: February 26, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. EST

For all those who might need听help getting started on their application, HBHL is offering a writing workshop on January 15, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. EST.听

Join two-time HBHL Fellow and PhD candidate and HBHL鈥檚 Managing Director, , for the interactive workshop "The Competitive Edge: Writing a Successful HBHL Fellowship Application" that will provide participants with an opportunity to:

  • Learn about the fellowship requirements and evaluation process
  • Get tips and tricks for writing a successful application
  • Get started on their application with guided activities
  • Learn about the EDI and SGBA+ (part of the application requirements) for the application)

This event will be held virtually.
