9:00-11:00 a.m.: Strain on the brain: Reducing stress to improve brain health
How does stress affect the brain and behaviour? What can you do to reduce and manage stress? At this workshop, (PhD candidate, Psychology, À¦°óSMÉçÇø) will discuss the neuroscience of stress as well as research-supported tips for stress management. The workshop will include interactive discussion and activities focused on real-world application of the presented research.

11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m.:ÌýHealthy screen-time and smartphone use: Ongoing questions and emerging research

2:45-4:15 p.m.: How to get a good night’s sleep in the modern age
Speakers: Drs. and Ìý(Postdoctoral Fellows in the Sleep, Cognition and Neuroimaging Laboratory, Concordia University)

This interactive workshop will cover:

  • What sleep hygiene is
  • How and why to integrate better sleep habits into a busy lifestyle
  • How sleep deprivation and poor sleep hygiene affects health
  • Debunking myths about sleep
