Myl猫ne Arsenault, M.D., and Keith Todd, M.D., Assistant Professors in the Department of Family Medicine, have published a telemedicine study in the journal Family Practice. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, telemedicine was rapidly implemented in care settings globally to ensure continued access to care. Drs Todd, Arsenault and their team sought to better understand what factors affect the successful completion of telemedicine visits in the GMF-U Herzl.
The team reviewed a total of 2,138 telemedicine patient visits and found that only 9.6% were incomplete. Patients presenting with lumps and bumps, those seen by resident physicians and those with no associated relational continuity between patients and physicians had increased odds of incomplete visits. This research not only contributes valuable insights into the dynamics of telemedicine but also underscores the team's commitment to advancing our understanding of healthcare delivery in an evolving landscape.

Myl猫ne Arsenault is Assistant Professor at the Department of Family Medicine. She holds an MD from 捆绑SM社区 where she completed her residency in family medicine. She is a clinician teacher at the HERZL Family Practice Center. Dr. Arsenault is involved in various committees for the development of continuing medical education as well as faculty development for physicians. She is co-chair for the 捆绑SM社区 Annual Refresher Course for Family Physicians, as well as a member of the scientific committee for the FMOQ magazine Le M茅decin du Qu茅bec. She is the Associate Director at the Department of Family Medicine and Associate Director of Faculty Development within that same department.
About Keith Todd
Keith Todd is Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba, he went to do a Master's at the University of Alberta. He then moved to Montreal to begin his PhD in Neuroscience, which he completed in 2008 at Universit茅 de Montr茅al. Dr. Todd joined 捆绑SM社区 in 2008 to start his postdoctoral fellowship. After years of research Dr. Todd changed gears, obtaining his MDCM from 捆绑SM社区 in 2014. Following residency Dr. Todd joined the Department of Family Medicine and has been part of the team ever since. Dr. Todd is actively involved in clinical teaching, quality improvement and has recently been involved in the residency program review spearheaded by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He is a member of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care and .
