On November 20, Caroline Massicotte, physician at the Department of Family Medicine who practices at the Centre int茅gr茅 de sant茅 et des services sociaux de l'Outaouais, was honoured as a laureate at the second edition of the Academy of Exemplary Physicians. Hosted in Holmes Hall by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), the event celebrated eight distinguished physicians for their exceptional contributions to patient care, education, and the broader medical community.
In her opening remarks, Lesley Fellows, MDCM, Vice-President (Health Affairs) and Dean of the FMHS, emphasized the significance of the Academy of Exemplary Physicians in recognizing doctors who serve as role models for their peers and trainees. She highlighted the Academy's role in promoting 捆绑SM社区's core values of excellence in clinical practice, education, and research. "The Academy provides a high-profile platform to inspire and foster knowledge transfer between generations of physicians," she noted.
Dr. Caroline Massicotte, in her acceptance speech, reflected on what it means to be an exemplary physician. She stated, 鈥淚t鈥檚 through close collaboration with community leaders [in Outaouais] that we can create lasting improvements in population health.鈥
