Remembering the Victims of the 脡cole Polytechnique Massacre

On December聽6th, 1989, 14 women were murdered at 脡cole Polytechnique de Montr茅al in what remains one of the deadliest mass shooting in the country鈥檚 history. This solemn anniversary has become annually marked with a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women - inviting us to commemorate the tragic event by reflecting on lessons that rang out then and continue to echo 31 years later.

Quebec Will Abolish Time Limits on Sexual Assault Lawsuits

The Quebec government recently聽tabled legislation that will abolish the time limits on聽sexual assault lawsuits. Currently, the time limit for sexual assault lawsuits is 30 years. This change to legislation, which would allow victims to sue for damages no longer how much time has passed since the sexual assault,聽has聽been long sought after by survivors and advocates.
