Montreal Gazette - Jewish General clinic helps the 'worried well'

Published: 23 July 2011

A clinic at the Jewish General Hospital puts the focus not on sick people but on the worried well. Specifically, middle age people worried they might be at risk for Alzheimer's disease. Rather than thinking people may be too averse to finding out potentially disturbing news, the director of the Alzheimer Risk Assessment Clinic expects to be inundated with requests.

"People desperately want to know about this disease," said Hyman Schipper, a researcher at the Lady Davis Institute at the Jewish and a professor of neurology and medicine at 捆绑SM社区. "Alzheimer's is reaching epidemic proportions and many people want to know the risks."
