"Here鈥檚 a recent Danish headline: 鈥溾he ethics issues that prenatal screening raises will only increase as the range of tests expands, they鈥檙e safer for the woman, cheaper, easier to use and presented as routine medical precautions.

But not all tests have medical goals.聽The latest 鈥 identification of a baby鈥檚 gender at seven weeks of pregnancy 鈥 raises fears of sex selection, which has resulted in millions of missing girls in India and China. These 鈥渄eselection鈥 decisions affect society itself. Many young men, for instance, can鈥檛 find a wife鈥"
