8th EBSI-SIS Doctoral Symposium

The doctoral students of the Université de Montréal School of Information Science invite you to participate in the 8th EBSI-SIS Doctoral Symposium. You have until August 22, 2014 to submit a summary of your talk, a summary of the poster you will be presenting, or to propose an activity.

The EBSI-SIS Doctoral Symposium is an annual event organized by doctoral students at the Université de Montréal School of Library and Information Science and the À¦°óSMÉçÇø School of Information Studies. This year the Symposium will take place on September 26, 2014 at the School of Library and Information Science, at the Lionel-Groulx Pavilion of the Université de Montréal.

All students at the master and PhD level are invited to participate. The Symposium provides an excellent opportunity for new students to promote their research topics in a supporting and dynamic environment.

Format

Each presentation will be 10 minutes in length followed by a question period. To facilitate the participation of non-bilingual students, we encourage the use of visual support material in an official language other than the one used during the presentation (English or French).

Posters will be presented in the Carrefour des Arts et Sciences of the Lionel-Groulx Pavilion during the coffee break and lunch period that will be offered to all participants and invitees.

Confirmations of presentation submission status will be sent to applicants by September 1, 2014 at the latest.

Date of the Symposium:
Friday, September 26, 2014 between 9:00am and 6:00pm.
