Presenting Cellist Prodigy St茅phane T茅treault in a Concert to Benefit Children's Music Education in Point St. Charles

Under the direction of maestro Iwan Edwards, I Medici di 捆绑SM社区 presents a Benefit Concert to support听Viva!Sistema, a music education program for elementary school children in Point St. Charles. The concert features works by Antonin Dvorak: his Symphony No. 9 鈥淔rom the New World,鈥� and the Cello Concerto in B minor with St茅phane T茅treault. Children in the music program will also perform.

Stephane is one of Canada鈥檚 most promising young cellists. In addition to being selected to compete in the prestigious 2011 Tchaikovsky International Competition, St茅phane received numerous award including the First Prize in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Standard Life-OSM 2007 Competition, the 2013 Choquette-Symcox Award from the Jeunesses Musicales du Canada Foundation, and the F. Lindsay Award 2013.

Viva!Sistema is a program of the Quebec Music Educators Association, that provides free music lessons to children after school.听 Without our support, this important program cannot continue.听

Tickets

Regular tickets: $30; Donor: $100 (includes $70 tax deductible donation). Donor ticket holders are invited to a post-concert reception to meet the artists, teachers and the honorary committee.
