2018 Accounting Recruitment Campaign

Your first step:

Sign – up for firm tours NOW. myFuture, Events, Information Sessions, <information session type>: CPA Firm Tour or visit DAS’s website . If you sign up you must attend! Business dress required. Arrive 15 minutes before.

Your second step:

Join DAS (Desautels Accounting Society). DAS will have a table when classes start in the lobby of Bronfman. Contact DAS directly for dates and times.

Must attend events:

1) The CPA firm Cocktail at Marché Bonsecours: Wednesday September 12 from 2-4PM (Contact DAS on how to register). Business dress required.

2) Industry Cocktail at Marché Bonsecours: Monday September 17 from 6-9PM Register for the industry cocktail here: Business dress required.

Your third step:

Prepare your documents! Some Montreal firms require the CACEE form, others a one page CV and cover letter. Look at each firm’s website for their application deadlines and what documents they require.

Download the CACEE form from the CACEE website. English version French version Do not change the formatting of the form. Maximum 4 pages.

Tip: Have your CACEE form or CV and cover letter reviewed before submitting. DAS offers prep sessions or visit your career centre for more information.

Deadlines to apply:

It is your responsibility to go to each firm’s website to find out the deadline. Application deadlines are no longer regulated by the Quebec CPA Order. The most common Montreal accounting firm deadline is September 17th 2018, but some firms are sooner (example PwC is September 12th 9:00 pm!). Out of province are deadlines are different and often sooner.
